Day rate calculator
Many clients ask for a day rate or a fixed project price instead of an hourly one. Enter your hourly rate to see the equivalents, and estimate a project quote with a safety buffer.

How the rates are worked out
The day rate is your hourly rate times the hours in a working day. A half-day is half of that plus an optional premium, because a half-day booking usually blocks you from taking other work that day. The weekly rate is the day rate times days per week, and the monthly figure assumes 52 ÷ 12 ≈ 4.33 weeks per month.
The project quote multiplies your estimated hours by your hourly rate, then adds a buffer. Projects almost always take longer than planned because of feedback rounds, calls and scope changes, and a 15 to 30% buffer is common.
These figures are a starting point for a quote, not financial advice. Adjust them for your market and the client.
